Reunions

Family reunions are a memory to be charised.  We met some family that moved to California in the 1950's to get a job.  It is sad that families are raised apart but a necessity for work. We did eat a lot also.

I do feel for families that cannot communicate by phone or fly, to see each other.  We are blessed to have the abilities of communication now, they did not have one hundred years ago.  The family may have stayed closer then also.

My Dad went back to the Mountains today to continue to get better.  Thanks for the prayers and keep praying for him.

You must have been warmed by this family get together Kim. Bet there were tears of joy and sorrow as well especially for those who did not make it. And I will include your Dad in my prayers. It seems these days older people are getting more and more vulnerable and frail.

In our case, there is a very old man that really needs our prayers. If worse comes to worst it is our prayers that the Lord will grant him a painless but peaceful rest.

We cannot deny when our body says Stop! It is best to surrender ourselves to HIM while we can.

(Seek ye the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near).

Sigh! Thanks for coming to visit me Kim.

We used to go to family reunions with my grandparents growing up - with their cousins and families. I remember it being so much fun!

Praying for the man...That was my prayer for my grandmother in early October.

Communication improvements have played a big role in family being able to stay in touch...still, nothing matches the face to face reunions...you just can't hug over the phone or the internet...

Still praying for your dad....
